Hi everyone!

Just popping in real quick to say hi and that I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! I'm heading up (or down??) to Houston today for TEN whole days.  Brett comes on Saturday and until then I shall mees him and my puppies so much :(  I'm going early to spend some time with my fam and my grandma, AND to help them out with some last minute Christmas shopping.  Houston malls > San Antonio malls.  I'm seriously just going to go sit in the Galleria with some waffle fries and stare at the huge tree.

So in preparation for this vacation, as I like to call it, I have spent the last month writing down restaurants in Houston that I've been craving.  That way we will be sure to hit when we're in town.  Can you tell what's on my mind most of the time these days??

Breakfast: The Bagel Shop, Bellaire Coffee Shop, Buffalo Grille
Lunch/Dinner: LOS TIOS, Mi Luna, Barrys Pizza, Niko Nikos, Hubcap Grill, Killen's, Brenner's on the Bayou
Dessert: Michael's Cookie Jar, 3 Brothers Bakery

And that is only the top of the list.

OH AND TODAY I AM 7 MONTHS! The last trimester. The home stretch. Wooohoooo!!!!!

I'll check in over our vacay with any updates and obviously to talk about how full I am from all the food I've been consuming.

Much love & happy holidays! Love you all!

A real good day.  And no, not just because I heard Michael Jackson Black or White on the way to get coffee.  But because today I woke up and something happened that has NEVER happened to me before....I WON A GIVEAWAY!!!!  I have never won anything before in my life (minus $2 scratch off lotto tickets) so this is like a really big deal.  I won some majorly cute gifts from Biscuit Home in a holiday giveaway Bailey hosted on her blog Peppermint Bliss. AND the best part? My friend Lauren won too!! Not only did she win, but she won the big giveaway of the series.  Super excited for her! I laughed so hard when I saw both of our names listed on there.

I'm definitely paying Biscuit a visit over the Christmas holiday for a couple of crib sheets (mentioned on yesterdays post).

And you know what else I woke up to? An e-mail from Birch Box saying my momma had gifted me a subscription! It's an early but very welcomed Christmas present that I've been dying for the past couple of months.

I seriously think I'm going to go buy some lotto tickets today because I am on a ROLL.

Tonight is the long awaited Bryan Adams concert and just to get you in the mood:

Ponder this masterpiece:
This room by Jamie Meares of Furbish inspired me to start a new series, ROOM ON A BUDGET.  I take rooms me spectacles are particulary attracted to and try to recreate them in a more $$$ friendly way.  Or at least try my bestest.  My first attempt:
Paint ze walls red.  Any dark shade by Sherwin Williams will do.
Curtains: from IKEA for $50 paired with roman shades from Overstock for $30.
Custom pillows by MISS BLUEBONNET: inquire for pricing.
Nightstand: again from IKEA for...TEN DOLLARS. Yes your eyes read that right.
Furbish lamp: this is a splurge for the room & can definitely be replaced. But I just love this lamp.
Moroccan pouf: on eBay ranging from $30 to $100
Rug: Home Decorators for $399-- STEAL for a rug. That is an amazing price and apparently is really soft/sturdy.
Cow rug: These are usually around $200 and up but try Craigslist and eBay. Í've found tons on there for great prices.
Vintage Eagle mirror: Again try eBay and CL!
And there you go! For a total master bedroom redo these are phenom prices.  Plus the original room used $$$$$ fabric and furniture pieces.  Thanks for helping me kill an hour of my day.

My anxiety level has gone down tremendously from yesterday.  Thanks everyone for your reassurance and suggestions! Especially those who told me about the no fume paint! That alone (paired with Chik-fil-A waffle fries) calmed me nerves a whole bunch.

On another note, the top baby names of 2012 came out recently.  Here are the top ones:

1. Sophia
2. Emma
3. Olivia
4. Isabella
5. Ava
6. Lily
7. Zoe
8. Chloe
9. Mia
10. Madison

1. Aiden
2. Jackson
3. Ethan
4. Liam
5. Mason
6. Noah
7. Lucas
8. Jacob
9. Jayden
10. Jack
I do have to admit I kind of love that we picked a name that didn't make the list.  I've always said I want a unique name that not a lot of people have & Brett wanted something unusual and different too.  That doesn't mean I don't love the names that did make the list.  In fact, if we were having a girl, the name we had picked out rests comfy in that top 10 girls list up above (my great grandmother's name).  I think when you know and love your name, no "list'' matters.  At least that's my spiel on names for today.
On to design related news, have you seen Biscuit Home yet? It was opened by Bailey of Peppermint Bliss and I kind of need all of the crib sheets.  These are my faves:

Little bikes & plaid.  Paired with this guy:
So cute for baby D!
Have a lovely night.

...redo our living room right now (which we all know I can't), then it would look something like this:

living room

Ahh, neutral heaven.  Can someone make this come happen, along with our nursery & master bedroom?

Today I'm 27 weeks-- that's like one week away from the LAST trimester.  Woohoo!  March 13th is our official due date, but at our last ultrasound they said they think he will come before then at the rate he is growing.  Before??? I mentally need to prepare myself for going into labor any day in March.  March is like less than 3 months away.  Errmerrgerrd.

This is what my current state looks like:

(PS thanks everyone for all your nice comments on FB!! You know how to make a girl feel loved.)

I promise to be better about pics over these last few months :)

Now everyone has been telling me to get as much done as possible before the last trimester because it flies by.  And I believe them.  We have all of our baby classes scheduled and ready to go.  We have a general plan for labor and delivery.  But...again....the nursery hasn't even BEGUN.  And here comes the huge wave of anxiety I get just thinking about it.  Are we way behind on this?  Is this normal? All advice and reassurance welcome.

Here's the reason for the delay:  We have 100 things to sell before we can even begin on it and Craigslist isn't cutting it.  I mean nothing is selling y'all.  Thus, a garage sale might have to be the answer.  On top of that, the nursery is where all of our dogs' stuff lives (kennels etc) and they need to be moved which also isn't possible until more stuff sells.  Then we are waiting until Christmas to see what Santa brings (aka my mom has hinted about a crib coming down the chimney).  Finally, it needs to be painted and that can't happen until I am out of town and away from the fumes.  And then I think about the little things like, we don't even have baby hangers to put his clothes on!!! Or....there are a million jackets where his clothes are supposed to be!!! Then I vent on my blog apparently and I feel much better.  So thanks for listening to meeeeee.

Hopefully I will have a post later today telling everyone I have calmed down.  And how good the Chik-fil-A I just ate was. Mmmm waffle fries.

I answered some FAQ's when I first started blogging again so I thought I'd do another round since that was about 2 months ago :)

How far along are you?
26 weeks and almost to the 3rd & FINAL (thank god) trimester.  I can't wait to meet him, but I also can't wait to be unpregnant.

What are you craving?
Everything.  But more recently: Chick-fil-A, sweet tea, spaghetti, cookies/brownies, and the occasional Taco C.  I swear I eat good things too.

Has it been hard to not drink?
A lot of people have asked me this since I've been known to imbibe every once and a while.  Honestly, it's a no brainer since something so important is now a part of me and my life.  But besides that at the beginning- not at ALL.  Nothing really sounded good much less alcohol.  Now? Not really, but randomly I'll be I could really go for a glass of vino with my 'sgetti.  But it's not ''hard.''  It just is what it is.  Brett's really excited to see how tipsy I get after one glass post-birth.

Do y'all have a name?
I think it's time to say......yes!!!!!!! And we are in love with it.  That whole when you know you know thing?  Totally true. We're debating keeping it a secret until he is born.  Partly because people tend to have so many opinions, and partly because we feel like it's something special between our little family....but I don't know if we'll be able to hold out that long.  We shall see :)

Why haven't you posted bump pictures?
I KNOW. I know. I'm so bad at posting pictures!! Except of our dogs.  My daily outfit consists of maternity workout clothes so I never feel like I'm dressed up enough.  But this will hold me accountable...this weekend I WILL take a bump pic and I WILL post on here on Monday.  See now I have tooooo.  And I just love my lil bump so why not show it off on here.

What effects from pregnancy are you having now?
The nausea has finally gone away for the most part.  Aka no more naps on the bathroom floor thank gurdness.  My biggest complaint as of late are the back aches. UGH.  I need massages and heating pads on the daily.  I would take this over nausea any day though so I try to be somewhat positive.  Also the constant shots/taking blood/tests suck majorly.  I.hate.needles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you scared for labor?
Ok I have been since I knew what labor was.  But to be honest I'm more scared about actually knowing WHEN I'm in labor.  Like I have a real good feeling they will know our names at the labor and delivery admission.  "Oh, it's yall again?'' This happened to my mother, and I am sure to meet the same destiny.

What is baby coming home in?
Apparently this is a thing???  I have no idea.  Maybe something monogrammed?  Or just your basic onesie, socks, and a hat.  We are simple peeps.

Ok that is all I can think of for now.  We are off to the Spurs/Rockets game tonight, but more importantly an open bar (for him) and a free buffet of food goodness (for me). Mmmmmmmmm. Have a great weekend!

JUST BECAUSE I'M IN A GOOD MOOD.  And the dogs are not entertaining me.

I want our console to look like this......

Please and thank you.

Let's get to the important issues here:

At first I was all like I'm so glad I announced before her.  Then I was all like SHE BETTER NOT STEAL OUR BABY NAME. Then...duh, our taste and her taste might just be a leeeeetle different so I'm pretty sure we're safe there.  I'm not saying we have or don't have a name (sorry to be secretive) just that most likely the next heir (or heiress) of England will not likely steal our thunder.

Ok moving on.

Our baby girl broke her toe this week :(  I've been cooped in our house taking care of her so she doesn't play, run around, and most importantly chew up her cast.  I haven't showered in 3 days and have only left the house to get Chick-fil-A & spaghetti.  Embarassing I know.  I was telling Michelle earlier today that when the baby comes 3 days of not showering is bound to turn into a month.  Here is Fi Fi:

Don't you just wanna hug her?

To something design related.  I know I should really be focusing on the nursery since I'm in week 26 now and about to freak out that nothing is done. BUT, typical me, I'm redoing our bedding situation.  We got the perfect pink headboard that I was going to base the room around-- this was my inspiration:

But when we found out about baby boy, everything got put on hold.  So the bed that was supposed to go in the 2nd bedroom (now the nursery) is staying with us.  Thus it needs some zhushing, whatever that means.  I decided to go more monochromatic this time round w/ a hint of colah plus on a major budget.

PS. I tried to make a fancy looking design board, but it just wasn't working and my brain is too tired.

This is the bed we have that I got after college from Pottery Barn

I got gray sheets from Target.  I asked for this for Christmas:

And these in black:

I need monogram shams like these bad boyz:

With a pillow like this:

Can you see it all together? I know it's hard to peecture.  Since I'm hoping to get a few of the things above for Christmas, all I had to buy were the sheets ($25), need to get some pillows monogrammed ($25/each), plus the pillow which is around $45.  FINE BY ME!

Also go on over to my girl Liz's blog to check out Baby D's 2nd nursery board!! She is oh so talented, works for a major designer in NYC, and will be BIG one day.  Bask in her goodness here: Irreverently Inspired.

She still exists.  The website is ready, the products are sitting here, and I have no idea why I haven't launched.  Well I kinda do.  First, no pictures exist yet. Which is mui importante to have on the website.  Second, when we found out about the baby, everything just kind of stood still.  I stopped focusing on Miss BB & let her fall to the wayside.  But I think I am ready to revisit and launch her.  I'm scheduling for the pictures to be taken and then it's all in my court.  Every time I go to a home decor website and almost push "add to cart" on a cute throw pillow, I'm like WHAAAT is wrong with you? You have like 50 amazing pillows sitting in the next room just waiting to be fluffed.  Oh and did I mention the next room is also the nursery which HAS to be cleaned out as soon as possible??  Another motivator for launching.

So that's that.

I still want her to happen and from now until January I intend on making her a reality.

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? I've never been so happy to see dressing, cranberries (CANNED ONLY PLEASE), potatoes, and everything else I devoured.  I'm already counting down until Christmas so I can eat it all over again.  Or I could just go to Luby's.

This week I've seen all the bloggers create "gift guides" which I do love looking at, but then I'm all like-- who actually buys this stuff? I need a $150 monogrammed scarf like I need a hole in my head.  Ok that's a little dramatic.  But you know what I'm saying??

That being said of course I decided to do one myself.  Mostly because I really felt like blogging today. But also because I am basing my list on things I actually own/swear by/have asked for myself for Christmas.  And that makes it ok right?

holiday list

birch box- monthly subscription for $10.  get the latest beauty samples. i so wish i would have thought of this.
best candle ever- volcano from anthro. your house will never smell the same again.
bla bla dolls- so cute for baby boy!
philosophy bubbles- i swear by these bubble bath scents.
for husband- if you are lucky enough to stumble upon this bourbon at a local shop, scoop it up. then tell no one where you found it.  it's a secret cult kind of thing.
one direction CD- for your inner tween.
dog crib sheet- this screams baby detamore dont ya think?
nursery art- love love these travel prints for the nursery wall.

& that's a wrap.

I have a confession:  I had my first pregancy freak out. Ok that was a lie. This is my second or third. But this time was a little different.  EVERYTHING is perfectly fine thank goodness. But over the past few days I think I had my first ''am I ready'' breakdown.

It all started yesterday afternoon with Finn.  She came into the house from outside with blood all over her paw. I started cleaning it but then it would gush all over again-- cue freak out.  Instinct kicked in and I immediately put the other two dogs away and started getting Finn ready to go to the vet.  Picture a pregnant woman trying to control a 92 pound dog on a leash by herself.  This might seem easy to some people but Brett ALWAYS takes care of this part.  We go to the vet together but he holds her, gets her in the car, gets her out, keeps her from other dogs at the vet, etc etc.  This part scares me.  But I had to manage so off we went.  I finally got her into the vet and immediately had no control over her.  She LOVES the people at the vet so gets really hyper and excited.  Not to mention there were like 3 other dogs in there that were trying to sniff and bark at her.  UGH.  Anyways, she was perfectly fine and just hurt her nail so we got antibiotics and instructions.  Then the tears came when I couldn't even get her back into the car.  I had to pick her up, which of course made me worried about the baby.  Then I just bawled the entire trip back home and until I got her inside safe.

My dad happened to call me mid-breakdown.  Through my tears I said-- I can't even take Finn to the vet by myself, what am I going to by myself when the baby is here?  To which he responded-- but you DID do it.  You did it by yourself.  You got her there and back.  No one is ever really ready but you will be great.  A light went off in my head.  Yes it was scary and stressful but I did it and she was fine and I was fine.  I know a dog and a baby aren't the same, but for some reason they were all connected in my head yesterday...and let me tell you I've never been more thankful for my husband for all he does.

All of this happened on top of me being worried about little man.  I thought I had been feeling him on and off for a couple weeks now, but it wasn't until last Wednesday when it was like for real for real.  Brett could feel him moving under his hand and I felt distinct kicks (YAYYYYY!!!).  Since then I felt nothing.  Maybe slight movements as to what I can only describe as "gas bubbles??" but nothing like last Wednesday.  Well then I decided to google it.  DO NOT EVER GOOGLE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR BABY STOPS KICKING.  It's not pleasant. Cue freak out.  I tried everything google said to get your baby to kick- orange juice, cold water, warm bath.  Nada.  We even have a dr appointment next Monday but no way I could wait that long.  I decided to call the dr this morning and they squeezed me in for a quick check up.  Let me tell you, there is no better feeling than hearing that little heart beat and knowing he is okay.  I was so embarassed, but I love the peeps at my hospital because they deal with me and all my worries.  Just between that and yesterday I felt so worn down and embarassed.  But let me tell you I learned SO much.  About myself and how to deal with different situations.  I'm not really sure what the point of this post was-- but I couldn't really write about my chili recipe when all of this was weighing on my mind. Ya hurrd?

Oh and Brett also has a pool going on how many times I make us go to the hospital because I think I'm going into labor.  That WILL happen.  Mark my words.

One last thing- baby boy will be here in exactly FOUR months from yesterday.  Isn't that crazy?! I know time will fly by too with the holidays and things.  Now if we could just decide on a name....:)

Y'ALL.  It's semi cold outside.  The Texans won.  I had the best bagel for breakfast.  I got Anthro candles burning all up in this house.  And taco chili is on the menu tonight.  If that doesn't make a pregnant woman happy, I don't know what would.

This is the recipe I'm trying. *minus the broth to make it more like chili*

I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that vital piece of information.

You see, I'm trying to nest.  Not really sure what that means, but lately I've been determined to be a "dinner's ready" kind of gal.  Last week it lasted until Tuesday when the baby demanded fajitas.  We'll see how this week goes.'

Have a lovely, chilly evening.

Over the last 5 months, I've been SCOURING the internet for the best advice on mom and baby essentials. Thanks to helpful websites, blogs, and most of all the advice of family and friends, I think we've finally decided on what we want to get for our little man. I know every baby is different and likes different things, but I want to be as prepared and educated as possible! SO I decided to put together some essentials that I'm planning on getting slash already have-- of course the title of this post has a big "?" because he isn't here just yet. But hopefully this helps someone else out there with so many overwhelming choices!

baby first

Obviously there is more but just wanted to start out with a few that I definitely plan on stocking up on!

I have discovered the mothership.  babyGAP, I love you too, but Nordstrom stole my heart this weekend.  I'm not sure this is a good thing, but I'm officially addicted & there's no turning back.

My momma-in-law was in town this weekend (miss you!) and got us the CUTEST things from there.  See below.

Can you guess who picked this one out? Hint: baby daddy.  It's so little and cute and perfect and I'm in love.

Zeeeeeebras!! So insanely cute. Thanks again Cindy!

Here are some other things that caught my eye in the store and online!  They shall be added to my Christmas list immediately.

A lil prep & a lil bit rock n roll.

I went back and forth on whether or not to do this post since everybody (rightly so) has their own opinion re: what people share on FB and other social media sites.  I decided to do it mostly voicing my own opinion on it and how my views have changed in different stages of my life.  Warning: If this bores you, you should probs stop reading now because a) this post is going to be lengthy & b) you might not agree with me.  Sorry, I'm not sorry.

I will be the first to admit that I used to be one of those people who scoffed at certain things people posted on FB.  For example, just this year (before the bun) I recall posting a kind of rude status that went something like this: "really excited you are pregnant, but we don't care if your baby is the size of a blueberry, apple, banana, or avocado." Granted this was after a few margaritas, but I can't find the post because I woke up and immediately deleted it feeling pretty bad and mean.  Given where we are in our lives now I would NEVER ever ever post something like that.  Who am I to judge how someone celebrates probably the best and most important thing ever to happen to them? Sure, I choose not to update about that certain aspect, but that doesn't give me the right whatsoever to openly criticize someone who does.

Just the other day I updated my status to "Hubby got us Bryan Adam tickets." Some people might find this highly annoying.  In fact, right after I posted this another one of my FB friends wrote "the use of the word hubby should be banned from all social media sites.''  When I read this I got so mad, irritated, and not going to lie- feelings were a lil hurt.  But then I quickly remembered that I had said the same thing re: fruits not that long ago and immediately felt like a hypocrite.  In fact, that was totally a status I would have written before I got married.  And this got me thinking.  Í love my husband.  I love posting about him on FB because frankly I never realized that someone could love me this much and I could be in love with someone as much as I love him.  ANYWAYS, the point is I will call him hubby as much as I dang want.  Especially when he surprises me with Bryan Adams tickets who I've been dying to see in concert for as long as I could breathe.  Ok slight exaggeration- since college.  And people can post about fruit or anything else to do with their baby as much as they want.  It was very humbling all in all.  I think what you post changes with different stages in your life-- and again this is just my opinion.

For me there are some things that cross the line in the oversharing world.  I had a FB friend who once updated statuses mid labor.  But who am I to judge the line of oversharing?  Maybe some of their family was at work and the only way to keep in touch was through FB.  Who knows.  I've heard of some people posting when their kid uses the bathroom etc etc.  The list goes on.  My view is that if you don't like what people are posting or think some things are just crossing the line-- just block or defriend them.  They probably aren't your good friends anyways.  None of this is supposed to elicit arguments or disagreements.  I just have been very humbled in my expereiences of sharing lately and personally I won't judge what people choose to write/update on their own page.

In fact, when our little man comes we would be CRAZY not to think we won't post pictures of him-- when he has his first smile, first bath, or just because.  And our friends and family who care will WANT to see these pictures.  And if you don't, then you should probably just defriend me now.  I love looking at friends pictures who just had babies.  I get advice, see what gear they are using, and get to watch them grow week by week.  That person who posted the imfamous "fruit update" is long gone and will never ever be back.  I'm a wife and now a mom-to-be and I couldn't be happier.

Rant over :)

PS. Feel free to comment as much as you want, but please remember that these are my opinions only.  Don't wanna start no drama!

If you haven't seen FB, Twitter, or every other social media site I've blasted the news
on...then I am BEYOND excited to tell you we are expecting a baby BOY in March! We are so blessed and happy for such an amazing gift. And the most important part is that he is super healthy, perfect, and apparently an active little man :)  Thanks to everyone who has shared in our excitement these past few weeks!

I'm pretty sure that this blog is now shifting towards baby geared stuff since that is what our lives revolve around now.  There will still be some decor but mostly my experiences and little man of course :)

These are some thangs that have gotten me through pregnancy so far.

preggo essentials

Dear TOM thank the lawd for you or else my feet would have died.  I think I've worn TOMS every day since we found out I was pregnant.  Ok and maybe every day before that.

I've also lived/slept/breathed in Target v-necks in every color.  For dresses, I love Old Navy maternity dresses.  Mostly because they are like $15.  My go to pants are Liz Lange black stretchy active wear from Target.  I love you, Target.

Philosophy bubble bath in every scent has been my savior.  I especially like listening to Christmas music while soaking.  I've been counting down to my mom's asparagus casserole since August.  No shame.

Luna bars just because they are delicious and have lots of good nutrients for the bun-- like folic acid.  When you are nauseous and lying on the bathroom floor, a chocolate chip bar sounds better than spinach and broccoli.  Same thing goes for the Naked smoothies/juices.  Just to get more good stuff for little man that actually tastes good.

Finally, American Baby magazine teaches me the way & Eat.Sleep.Poop simplifies all the junk and tells it to you straight up.  Have you even tried to read What to Expect blablabla-- it's just too much for my brain.  I hear Happiest Baby on the Block is a good one too.

The three websites have been the best guide for me when it comes to baby gear and registry check lists.  They also answer questions like what stroller does Jessica Alba use?

I hope this helps at least someone out there!

Peace out for now.

Thank you everyone who sent me their recs so far!! They are helping more than you know and feel free to send me as much or as little info as you wish :)

A lot of people have asked me about decorating the nursery and if I'm excited to put together a fun room for the bebe.  To be honest, nursery decor has kind of majorly fallen into the background so far! I've been more consumed with reading books, picking out the right stroller, and researching how long to give sponge baths (along with many many many other thangs). But of course I'm threeeelled to pick out decor for the room.  I do need to tell you sumfin though.  Most of the big decorations won't happen until we move back to Houston.  OF COURSE there will still be a nursery with all the major things, but since we are moving back so soon after the baby, most of the fun decor will happen later.

We do have one thing for the nursery though.  My awesome sister-in-law, Stephanie, sent the baby their first gift the other week!  We got the cutest book from her as well as this sign:

I this not the perfect gift for us? I died. Thanks again Steph!

All that bein said, let's take a look at some of the crib research I've done so far.  Safety and simplicity has taken over my brain above what's easy on the eyes.  But I feel like a crib is something that can accomplish both so here are my top contenders:

NINE HUNDRED BONES for a crib.  Hence in the dream category.  I mean I would rather spend money on diapers and adorable clothes...right??

Looks pretty much the same as the Oeuf above right? And they both have the important stuffs: meet the safety standards/painted with non toxic paint.  Plus almost half the price. Win-win!
I've always looooved the classic, vintage look of the Jenny Lind cribs.  And at this price you can't go wrong.
Such a great price for a modern looking crib that is also really similar to the dream ones above.
So my conclusion? #1 choice would be the very first one, but $900 is just too ridiculous for a crib.  My other #1 choice is definitely the Target one.  It's super cute, affordable, and safe which is ultimately my biggest concern.

WOW. I haven't blogged since July 13th.  Three days before we found out we were pregnant. It's been so hard keeping this secret & I'm so happy to finally share the news with everyone!  I'm really not sure what direction this blog is going to go now, but I do know that I miss it TONS and plan to start writing again :)

For my first come-back post I thought I'd answer some FAQ's I been gettin:

How are you feeling?
Now? Glorious.  The first 3 1/2 months? AWFUL.  I mean like not being able to get off the couch awful.  Morning sickness, nausea, headaches, exhaustion. You name it, I experienced it.  I think I'm finally finding my glow now....phew.

Any cravings?
TUUUUUUUNA. All day, every day.  Too bad I can't have any of it.  After the baby is born someone bring me 3 Subway tuna footlongs and all the spicy tuna rolls you can find.  Besides that, fruit and bbq...bbq baked potato...mmmmmmmmm. Gimme.

What hasn't sounded good?
GRILLED MEAT. Disgusting. And pasta (minus mac n cheese duh).

Do you think it's a boy or girl?
Hmm I have a gut feeling it's a girl and hubby thinks boy.  Can't wait to find out next week either way!

Do you have names picked out?
No, but Suzanne (mi madre) already has an extensive list started.  Think Tennessee James-esque.

Have you bought anything yet?
One thing.  Pair of Texans colored football onesies, obv.  And Suzanne has gotten us some diapers and baby blankets.  I had no idea how much STUFF you need to decide between-- there are seriously a hundred different strollers/car seats/cribs. If anyone has any recs, pleeeeease share.  Mee spectales hurt from hours of research.

Will you stay in San Antonio?
Thank goodness no.  No offense to anyone who loves it here.  We miss Houston. A lot.  And whoever said San Antonio is known for their food was terribly wrong.  ANYWAYS, we'll be here when the baby is born and about 6 months after that, but then it's back home for good.  And our house will finally begin construction in March-- now with a nursery!! Crazy how things change :)

That's all I can think of for now, but seriously if anyone has any "must have" items or recommendations please share. I'll love you forever.

And finally, thank you to EVERYONE who has shown us love and been so supportive.  We feel so lucky!

IT'S THE FREAKIN' WEEKEND! almost. things are finally wrapping up at the house and this weekend we can finally begin to put our lives back together.

here is a gander at the kitch/sink situation:

that backsplash is delicious. don't ya think? and i've always wanted a farmer's sink. we found this online for HALF off! PLUS a coupon code. seriously y'all. eBay and the internet are your bff's when you need stuff like this. never ever pay full price at a showroom. that's just my opionion though. also one thing i've learned- always google coupon codes for the store. 6 out of 10 times i find one and it's usually 20 to 25 percent off! GUHD stuff right there. rilll guhd.

let's move on to my friday finds.

i love me some anthro as much as the next girl, but sometimes their prices are just ridic right?

for example this new pillow: 300 bones.

and i'm 99.9% sure that it's the exact same as this pillow:

...just turned sideways.  and this one comes to you at just $65 bones.

cray right?  PS. contact me if you're interested in said pillow.
i'm going through a tribal/moroccan phase as of late.  like drooling over these fabrics:

delightful.  again, contact me if you're interested in said fabrics becoming a fluffy pillow.  starting at $18 bones (not including fabric). that's a steal, y'all.

i love eBay. + essie. so what's better when the two are combined? recently i bought one bottle of essie for 8 dollars plus tax.  i mean it's kinda worth it, but then i decided to search on eBay to see if stores/salons were selling some for a good deal. and voila. CLICK HERE.

5,000 options. make sure to click "new" on the left. not sure why people would put their used nail polish up anyways but ew.

this one is my fav. pick 10 colors (from their options) for $26.99. my kinda deal.

happy happy monday! i'm not too happy because once again, i am confined to the walls of our house morning until night afternoon, while they do more installations.

the nice thing about our weekend was mainly that no one was here. i actually got to breathe fresh air more than an hour at a time.  we got to drink chispas (our new fav SA drink) and live a normal life for a couple of days.  'twas nice. vewy nice.

let's take a gander at a the bath & kitch:

new cabinets! new vanity!!!!!
ignore the mirror etc. that is all goin bye bye.

subway tile DONE!
there is also white glossy tile hiding under the brown paper, but she will be revealed soon.

word to tha wise: not everything exactly works out as you imagine in your head. esp with an older house.  we weren't able to center the globes right over the "bar island" due to beams/electrical wiring. something you just have to get over and make on the spot decisions about.  i'm the type of person who constantly over analyzes and second guesses things like this, but after a marg or two, the anxiety goes away and you're just thankful you were able to add globes in the first place. ok that's enough of all that.

things with miss bluebonnet are coming along smooth.  we are in the final revision on the website and CROSS OUR FINGERS everything will be ready to go july 15.  i hope i hope i hope.

how was y'alls weekend? any updates or gossip i need to know about? please share.  PS. i am now also addicted to RHNJ. Theresa sucks.

HELLO FRIDAY!  It's always so nice to see you.  Let's discuss some life updates:

We joined a gym.  I still suck at working out.  I painted an abstract.  It's sort of really cute.  One Direction is totally the new 'NSYNC.  The Wanted are totally the new BSB (that's Backstreet Boys for you non-tweens).  Oh and Team Ann Curry.

I have no pictures of the reno to show.  For one, I have NO phone #dontwannatalkaboutit.  And second, it looks like a tornado swept through our house followed by a hurricane earthquake combo.

So instead I'll round up my Friday finds for your viewing pleasure.

Two Penny Blue
Two Penny Blue
My blogger pal Erin (disclaimer: she doesn't know we're friends yet but she did this & I just knew) announced her new store and fashion brand TWO PENNY BLUE which focuses on chic, affordable blazers in fun colors.  My personal fav is the Cambridge (in mint obv). AND get this- not only is it made here in Amurrica but for every blazer you buy, they donate a school uniform to a girl in Africa.  Loves it.  Oh and did I mention she is hosting a giveaway right now to win a blazer of your choice?

You can find these and more HERE.

Perf addition to gallery wall thanks to Benthebutterflyguy

via West Elm.

And just one last thing: when you are searching for fun pillows to spruce up your decor, what would you ideally love to pay for a pillow? My number 1 goal for Miss Bluebonnet is to make home decor as affordable as possible so your feedback means the world to me! Please comment below or on Facebook if you want to discuss :)  Happy friday lovahs!
