A Few Fun Finds

HELLO FRIDAY!  It's always so nice to see you.  Let's discuss some life updates: We joined a gym.  I still suck at working out.  I painted an abstract.  It's sort of really cute.  One Direction is totally the new 'NSYNC.  The Wanted are totally the new BSB (that's Backstreet Boys for you non-tweens).  Oh and Team Ann Curry. I have no pictures of the reno to show.  For one, I have NO phone #dontwannatalkaboutit.  And second, it looks like a tornado swept through our house followed by a hurricane earthquake combo. So instead I'll round up my Friday finds for your viewing pleasure. Kind of. 1) Vicki is an idiot.  I, for one, can't stand Brooks.  And he totally maxed out a credit card to buy her that fur. And he totally belongs on the ID Channel.  I think this about sums it up: 2)  I can't stand Alexis.  We don't care how many cars you have or how big your house is.  What I do care about is how she needs an interior designer STAT & that she needs to stop lying about her fake diamonds.  She also needs to hire better princesses. Let's take a quick look at the bathroom shall we? Subway tile = good, real gooooood. And we made a startling discovery when we ripped up the bathroom floor..... Awesome white vintage tile....seriously- why would you ever cover that up?! Unfortunately we couldn't salvage it since the previous owner had damaged a lot of them or we def would have! That's all the pics I have for you today since everything else is taped off in preparation for wallpaper install. SO let's begin with some random thoughts. 1) this is what we did today: she has a rough life stop taking pictures of me, momma   CLOSE UP 2) diet is going good so far. besides craving a taco from torchy's, a bowl of queso the size of my head, and bottomless margaritas. in that order. 3) this weekend i think i'm going to attempt something like this: {the art, that is} canvas + black oil paint + no painting skills whatsoever = how bad can it be?! would look fab over our new pink headboard . 4) i'm 99.9% sure i just added bar carts to MISS BLUEBONNET. 5) i failed to take a before bathroom pic.  however, this is it's current state if you would like to see: have i mentioned this is our only bathroom? have a lovely afternoon. tomorrow: friday finds! xoxo, ryann

is what i'm currently suffering from. we only have the use of two rooms in our house right now due to paint drying, horrid paint fumes, and a demolished bathroom. thank god for the internet. and rachael ray.  which, now that i think about it, is probably the worst thing i could have been watching on my current diet situation.  doesn't matter anyways because everything in the kitchen is taped off.  we had two slices of turkey for lunch. TWO SLICES. i'm about to turn into betty white on that snickers commercial. note to self: have a plan B next time you decide to renovate a house with one bathroom and THREE big dogs. another note to self: this will all be worth it. repeat 100 times. on the bright side let's take a look at the progress: white cabinets! minty fresh walls! now i want some mint choc chip ice cream. focus ryann. tomorrow i shall watch kathy lee and hoda drink wine instead of watching rachael ray eat hamburgers. i don'

Practiced styling some books with a MISS BLUEBONNET elephante. More stylin'. Spruced up the hallway with some beach art. Inspected a new shipment of MISS BLUEBONNET pillows. Tried out some {light} pink paint in le bathroom. Tried to finalize wallpaper & tile decisions for the house. DID finalize dining room chair fabric. Coral & hummingbirds = my happy place. I don't know about y'all, but it would literally take me a whole lifetime to collect enough books to have a perfectly color-coded bookshelf.  Like these: And that made me want to cry. Until I stumbled across this  while roaming the blog world. Color-coded-books-by-the-freakin-foot.  Hallelujah.  My favorites are the greens, blues, and pinks (obv).  Makes me want to go to IKEA, buy a white bookcase , and start ordering mah books.  Can't go all crazy and order all the colors at once, but at least I know there is shorter way out there to a chic, colorful bookcase! xoxo, ryann

is for cavemen.  maybe i should be a caveman because being a newly married woman has costed me some ell-bees. that's pounds in english.  i did the whole wedding diet thing. if you call a wedding diet eating healthy but drinking copious amount of wine. there in lies the problem- wine and margaritas. and queso. and whatever-the-f-i-wanna-eat. but its time for a change, yall.  that being said my hubby and i are going paleo . starting: monday. ending: whenever we crack. i'll be blogging about it but not to the point where it's annoying. basically updates like: this sucks. or i need some wine. or i haz cheezburger?
