Turquoise & Gold: Guest Blogger!!

Ladies & gents, W. 26th is so happy to welcome our first guest blogger!! I would like to introduce y'all to my friend, sorority sistah, and new-mom-to-be, Lauren of Turquoise & Gold.  You guys seriously need to stalk her blog. Not only is she hilarious, but she also has a great eye for all things fashion & design  {check out her nursery board}.  Plus, we both stalk celebrities on twitter so I know we're meant to be friends.

She put together a design for Miss Bluebonnet that I absolutely die over.  She even incorporated Finn (our new pup) into the room! Seriously, girl has some mayjah t-a-l-e-n-t. So without further adieu, here she is!

When I originally went to design a space for Ryann & Brett’s house, Miss Bluebonnet, I immediately thought I would put something together based on their home’s namesake flower. Clearly, the room took a different direction, but you can still see some bluebonnet influence in the cobalt lamps and the lavender wall color. The focal point of the room was easy. The Detamores recently brought a sweet great dane puppy into their family, and in my personal life, I am a huge collector of dog portraiture. So when I found that stunning great dane painting, I knew that the room would be somewhat defined by it. The fabric was chosen to match the dog’s spots, and everything else just unraveled on it’s own. Thank you to Ryann for including some of my design on West 26 Bliss!

I mean...the painting, the spotted fabric, the purple walls, THAT COUCH, those LAMPS. I need all of it.  Everythang.  It's so Miss Bluebonnet and it's so us.  I hope this is the first guest board of many to come from Lauren!

SCONCES & SUCH

Let's take a quick look at the bathroom shall we? Subway tile = good, real gooooood. And we made a startling discovery when we ripped up the bathroom floor..... Awesome white vintage tile....seriously- why would you ever cover that up?! Unfortunately we couldn't salvage it since the previous owner had damaged a lot of them or we def would have! That's all the pics I have for you today since everything else is taped off in preparation for wallpaper install. SO let's begin with some random thoughts. I want  this sweater: I shall be adding this to the new shop : minty fresh In exactly two short months, we'll be here: Sconces were decided on for said bath thanks to Amber's blog : Hmmm, I think that's about it.
