Turquoise & Gold: Guest Blogger!!
Ladies & gents, W. 26th is so happy to welcome our first guest blogger!! I would like to introduce y'all to my friend, sorority sistah, and new-mom-to-be, Lauren of Turquoise & Gold. You guys seriously need to stalk her blog. Not only is she hilarious, but she also has a great eye for all things fashion & design {check out her nursery board}. Plus, we both stalk celebrities on twitter so I know we're meant to be friends.
She put together a design for Miss Bluebonnet that I absolutely die over. She even incorporated Finn (our new pup) into the room! Seriously, girl has some mayjah t-a-l-e-n-t. So without further adieu, here she is!
______________________________________________________________________When I originally went to design a space for Ryann & Brett’s house, Miss Bluebonnet, I immediately thought I would put something together based on their home’s namesake flower. Clearly, the room took a different direction, but you can still see some bluebonnet influence in the cobalt lamps and the lavender wall color. The focal point of the room was easy. The Detamores recently brought a sweet great dane puppy into their family, and in my personal life, I am a huge collector of dog portraiture. So when I found that stunning great dane painting, I knew that the room would be somewhat defined by it. The fabric was chosen to match the dog’s spots, and everything else just unraveled on it’s own. Thank you to Ryann for including some of my design on West 26 Bliss!
