HAWT DAWGS

Y'all. Y'ALL. This next recipe is going to sound {real} weird & strange, but trust me it will change the way you cook hot dogs.  I got it off Pinterest, and it's definitely worthy of a re-pin and definitely a must try-- esp for the men in your life.  Who doesn't love beer and a good dawg?! Am I right?  Here we gooooo.

You'll need:
  • 8 hot dogs (i used to turkey to make it "healthier")
  • 8 hot dog buns (i used wheat!!)
  • mayo
  • mustard
  • chili with beans- any size can (the more the merrier)
  • shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 450.  Take a casserole dish and line it with foil.  Spray some pam up on it.  Get your hot dog buns out and lather them with mayo.  I know it sounds weird, but it bakes into the bread and tastes real yum.  Put some mustard on there if that's your thing.  Then put the hot dog franks in there.  Lay them all in the pan-- squish 'em together if you have to.  After all that's said and done,  layer the cold chili on there.  Use the whole can.  Even if you have some left over, find a place for it.  Then sprinkle lots and lots of shredded cheese covering all the hot dogs!!! If you must, add onions as well. Or relish. I didn't do either.

Mine looked like theeees:

Mmmmmmmmmm
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Cover the dish with foil & bake for 45 minutes at 450 degrees.  I did 45 mins like the recipe said and ours could actually have stayed another 5 minutes and prob been even better. Up to you.

And here's the after:

SOOOOO GOOOOOOD.

Scoop outta there. Drink a beer. Enjoy.

Next time, I'll update you on my adventures to HomeGoods!
